Beliefs

WHAT WE BELIEVE

 JESUS CHRIST

Jesus is the foundation and cornerstone of the church.  He came to restore man's broken relationship with God. His finished work on the cross made that possible.  Because of His love demonstrated on the cross by dying for our sins, we now have reason to fellowship with one another and proclaim salvation through His life, death, and resurrection.(1 Corinthians 3:11,Ephesians 2:20, Romans 5:6-10)

THE BIBLE

The Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative, inerrant word of God and is relevant and applicable to man today. Therefore we place great emphasis upon teaching it in public, studying it in private, and using it to guide our daily lives.

2 Timothy 3:16-17, 1 Thessalonians 2:13

WORSHIP

We believe God is worthy of all praise, reverence and love.  We take special time to worship Him in the church with song. It is our goal to worship Him with our whole lives as well: at home, at work, and at play.(John 4:23, Colossians 3:16, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

LOVE

Love is the greatest virtue and demonstration of the reality of Jesus Christ.  We endeavor to show a Christ-like Love toward all men.  Love should be exhibited in our lives by our words as well as our actions. (John 13:34-35, 1 Corinthians 13:13, Philippians 2:3)

CHRISTIAN GROWTH

Our desire is to know Christ and be conformed into His image, likeness, and example by the power of the Holy Spirit. We encourage this by abiding in Jesus Christ through His Word, prayer, fellowship, and by yielding our lives to the Holy Spirit. (John 15:5, Romans 8:29, Ephesians 4:11-13, 1 Corinthians 12:4-7; 2 Timothy 2:15

HOLY SPIRIT

We believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit are for today. The fulness of the Holy Spirit indwells all believers and convicts the world of sin.

CHRISTIAN SERVICE

Christian service is part of the Christian life and is the responsibility of all believers. Matthew 28:19 - Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Welcome to Living Way 6640

Lead Under Shepherd
Kirk Wheeler

Kirk was delivered from alcohol, drugs, and sexual immorality when he came to Christ in 1995.

His heart's hope here at 6640 is to help those who are wanderers, church hurt, outcasts, people who feel abandoned or don't feel like they fit in anywhere, so that he would have the opportunity to share the plan and purpose that God has for them. "That the Lord has purpose and a place for them; a future and a hope" (Jeremiah 29:11).

His heart is not to make Christians but to make disciples. This process will be revealed not through a title of 'Christian' but through what Scripture states: '...being steadfast in the word, being in fellowship, breaking bread together and in prayer.'

If you sense there is something missing and you know that there has to be more to life, please join us on Sunday. We will pray and seek the Lord together.

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing in the name of the Father, and the Son, and of the Holy Spirit."
Matthew 28:19
